BAM X001 black step guide, 15-steps transmission guide, increment 0.4, Dmax 5.0
BAM X001 blackening step, 15 steps, increment 0.4, with certificate
15 steps, increment 0.4, 95 x 238 mm, Dmax 5.0 gray step wedge, blackening step created by BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing)
Each blackening step is accompanied by an original BAM measurement certificate.
The blackening step X001 is a worldwide recognized gray level wedge for calibrating densitometers, scanners, for displaying the variables in the exposure and processing of printing plates and photographic materials and for the correct setting of the exposure parameters.
This step wedge can be used to determine the direction and the amount of the adjustments required for correct exposure.
The specialty of this black step guide lies in the high dynamic range in the density of the steps from approx. 0.2 to Dmax 5.0.
The NIST 38100C X-Ray film and the reference densitometer BAMLEDD2 according to ISO 5-2-: 2009 and ISO 5-3: 2009 used.
The reference footage is AGFA D4 film.
Recommended area of application:
Verification of densitometers in industrial radiography in the range of optical densities with D: 0.2 < D < 5.0
Shelf life:
BAM gray wedges can be stored unused for at least 10 years in a cool, dry place. Wear and tear occurs in particular through daily use, scratches, fingerprints, kinks, moisture, chemical vapors, etc. We recommend replacing, depending on daily use, within 3 to 6 months and immediately in the event of obvious damage.
